Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the C3BM division at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role emphasizes requirements analysis, architecture, and interoperability across DoD programs.

You will translate operational needs into technical specs, participate in architecture efforts, and communicate findings to leadership while collaborating with government and contractor teams onsite.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field and 3+ years of DoW experience.
• Active Top Secret level clearance and SCI eligibility must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements to disposal.
• Translate operational requirements into technical requirements for MIT activities.
• Support architecture definition to ensure interoperability across the DAF C3BM enterprise.
• Review DoW architecture models and help develop future-state architectures for sensor-to-shooter connectivity.
• Support risk assessments and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.
• Develop execution strategies and transition capability requirements for the acquisition community.
• Assist in test and evaluation strategy development with acquisition and test teams.
• Drive interoperability across PEOs and weapon systems.
• Capture and analyze current and future architectures based on missions and scenarios.
• Engage with joint and coalition stakeholders for integrated multi-domain architectures.
• Support identification and maturation of innovative concepts via analysis, modeling, simulation, and SE activities.
• Prepare technical briefings, engineering docs, and government-facing recommendations.
