Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development experience on teams.
• 1+ years of scripting/programming in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, C#, or Java.
• 1+ years of version control experience.
• Experience with system automation via PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash.
• Experience deploying apps and CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
• Experience with containerization.
• Strong programming fundamentals and language mechanics.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+) within 30 days.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to maintain DoD clearance.
• Preferred: Docker/Kubernetes/Rancher experience; AWS or Azure cloud; BS in CS/Engineering.

E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyman Software Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA in support of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC). The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) provides timely and accurate engineering and scientific analysis to military commanders and government officials to advance the national security strategy of the United States. A functional component of the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), JWAC uses information provided by the intelligence community to analyze and recommend solutions to some of the most complex problems faced by our military and civilian leaders. JWAC supports both crisis operations and contingency planning.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems.
• Applies specific functional knowledge, working/general industry knowledge.
• DevSecOps experience from an OS and Software Developmental perspective.
• Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
• Concentrates on using both back-end and front-end languages to build complete solutions.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience working on software development teams
• 1+ years of experience with scripting and/or programming, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, C#, or Java
• 1+ years of experience with version control systems
• Experience with system automation via PowerShell, Ansible, or Bash
• Experience with deploying applications and CI/CD tools, including GitLab

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
