Job summary

Townsend Energy is seeking a Journeyman Service Plumber in Danvers/Newburyport, MA. The role focuses on residential plumbing service, troubleshooting, and installation, with a 7:30am–4:00pm schedule and a $42.00–$60.00 hourly rate based on experience.

Responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing systems, assembling and repairing pipes, and servicing fixtures in customers’ homes, with opportunities to work on boilers and hydronics. A valid MA journeyman license and driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential plumbing service and installation experience.
• Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License or eligible to obtain License.
• Boilers and Hydronics systems experience is desired.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment is desired.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential plumbing service and installation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various plumbing fixtures and systems in customers' homes.
• Assemble, install, or repair pipes or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems per codes.
• Repair and install fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets.
• Perform soldering, brazing, or welding as needed.
• Communicate repair and upgrade options to customers.
• Handle minor to major re-pipe jobs.

Journeyman Service Plumber | $ 42.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on experience

Work Hours: Monday through Friday | 7:30am - 4:00pm

Job Duties

• Residential plumbing service


• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of plumbing fixtures and systems in residential customers' homes


• Assembles, installs, or repairs pipes, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes


• Repair and install fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks or toilets


• Soldering, brazing, or welding equipment


• Communicating with customer repair and upgrade options


• Minor to major re-pipes jobs
