Overview

Our Journeyman Service Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and repair of plumbing systems. These systems may include pipes, fittings, fixtures, and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, and industrial processing, installed according to specifications and building codes.

Essential Duties

• Study specifications, plans, and drawings to determine installation procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety regulations, including PPE usage.
• Set up equipment and assist with welding and pipefitting tasks.
• Inspect structures for obstructions and plan pipe layouts.
• Cut openings and install sleeves for pipes.
• Assist with excavation and backfilling.
• Cut, ream, solder, braze, and thread pipes using appropriate tools.
• Assemble and install valves, hangers, and pipes of various materials.
• Pipe bending and leak testing.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems including compressors and piping.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 4 years of pipefitting experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Qualified to operate machinery such as lifts and forklifts.
