Job Description

The Journeyman Service Electrician will perform terminal and electrical service, repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks across various facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing or replacing wiring circuits for lighting and controls, computerized motor controls, and other electrical equipment. The role requires identifying and acquiring parts, adhering to procurement procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
• Prepare sketches or follow diagrams and blueprints for wiring and equipment installation.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specifications.
• Design installations to minimize waste, ensure future maintenance access, and comply with safety codes.
• Test electrical systems and circuits for safety and compatibility using testing devices.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical components.
• Understand and comply with government, local regulations, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in lighting or electrical maintenance.
• Florida Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening.
• Willing to work nights and in various Florida locations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CSLT Certification is a plus.
