Description

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. This senior-level position involves TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel or aluminum plates.

Our welders work in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled shop environment. At LACO, welders are an integral part of our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Welding stainless steel or aluminum plates using TIG and MIG techniques
• Proficient in layout skills
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Performing quality checks on finished work
• Experience with manual lathes, mills, Iron Worker, metal rolls, grinding, rolling processes, and saws is a plus
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Participating in team meetings and process improvements
• Troubleshooting to ensure timely and high-quality project completion
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Effective communication with engineering team
• Adherence to safety standards and continuous safety training
• Dependability and punctuality

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• At least 7 years of welding experience
• Vacuum chamber welding experience is helpful
• Experience building large parts (60” and bigger)

Job Details:

• Shift: Monday-Friday, full-time, with an optional 9/80 schedule
• Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
