Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking a skilled Roofer/Sheet Metal Worker to maintain and repair a variety of roofing systems across university facilities. The role involves fabricating and installing sheet metal components, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Incumbents will work under the Building and Structures Supervisor, perform journey-level tasks, and operate high-reach equipment while adhering to all safety rules

Qualifications

• Five years experience with residential and commercial roofing, including slate roofs.
• Five years experience fabricating/installing sheet metal for duct work, louvers, drip pans, gutters, and down spouts.
• General knowledge of soldering and welding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all roofing types for university buildings.
• Lay out and fabricate duct lines and metal components.
• Coordinate with other trades to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Operate high-reach machinery and follow safety regulations.
