Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Setup: Assist in the installation of new refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, freezers, coolers, and ice machines, according to specifications and company standards.
2. Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic tools.
4. System Upgrades: Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
5. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards and procedures.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor time.
7. Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service by addressing their concerns and answering any questions about their refrigeration systems.
8. Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational program in refrigeration technology is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a refrigeration technician or in a similar role.
3. Certification: EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants; other relevant certifications are a plus.
4. Skills: Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, and HVAC systems; proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
5. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical stamina.
6. Other: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
