Job summary

Climate Pros is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter Refrigeration to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems for supermarkets and other facilities. You will work on single systems, parallel racks, display cases, and walk-in units, either solo or on a union crew, following safety rules and labor agreements.

The role requires union journeyman status and experience with commercial refrigeration piping, rack systems, and energy controls.

Qualifications

• Journeyman status with union.
• Experience with commercial supermarket refrigeration piping.
• Knowledge of piping practices, materials, jointing methods.
• Familiarity with rack systems and energy controls (Novar, CPC, Danfoss or similar).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Commitment to safety and jobsite compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, modify, and repair refrigeration piping systems (carbon steel, copper, specialty piping).
• Perform maintenance and repair of piping, valves, fittings, and supports for rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting piping-related issues affecting performance or refrigerant flow.
• Perform leak detection and corrective repairs per EPA and safety requirements.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, isometrics, and piping diagrams.
• Coordinate work with refrigeration technicians and electricians.
• Complete service calls and maintain professional standards.
• Document all work with notes and photos.
