Journeyman Plumber

Creature is an integrated design build firm based in Birmingham, AL. Our focus is on developing a differentiated delivery platform that improves the lives of our employees and customers. We are focused in the delivery of facilities utilizing the Design, Manufacture, Construct (DMC) methodology. DMC replaces the century-old, siloed approach of the Architecture Engineering and Construction Industry. A major component of our platform is our in-house Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades.

Job Description:

Creature is seeking a group of Plumbing Team Members who are eager to deploy their craft with excellence. The ideal candidate is conscientious, motivated, enjoys problem-solving, and is achievement-oriented. The Lead Plumber must be well-versed in all aspects of commercial plumbing, with a clear understanding of plumbing work within medical facilities.

Role Expectations:

1. Become an expert in all things plumbing and related fields.
2. Understand Creature's systems and processes and use them to lead a team effectively.
3. Provide leadership by setting team members up for success and offering ongoing coaching and development.
4. Collaborate with the Creature project management team to ensure efficient labor allocation for plumbing teams on projects.
5. Recruit and standardize training for new field talent.

The position requires either being a master plumber or demonstrating a pathway to becoming one, along with a willingness to undergo additional training and certifications. A proactive, can-do attitude is essential to navigate challenging situations. We work quickly and diligently while maintaining high standards of quality.
