Job Description
Nature and Level of Work

Perform skilled work at the journey level in the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment. All work is subject to inspection for conformance to standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain water, air, vacuum, gas, hot water, distilled water, acid, and chemical distribution lines and systems; storm and sanitary waste lines; steam and condensate return systems. May inspect, test, and maintain water softening equipment.
  • Perform soldering, gluing, threading joints, cabling, and camera sanitary, storm, and grease drain lines. Knowledge of hanger spacing, installation, and service of plumbing fixtures. Insulate and paint lines and equipment. Drill holes in walls, floors, ceilings.
  • Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Enforce safety requirements.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, material orders, reports, and records.
  • Operate construction equipment such as backhoes.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift

3:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Four years of work experience and training in the trade, including apprenticeship or vocational training.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Skill in maintenance and use of trade tools and materials.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50-80 lbs.), climb ladders, and work from heights.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required.
Anticipated Salary Range

$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
