Job summary

East Texas Refrigeration (ETR) is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Plumber for our new-construction team in Tyler, TX. You will work on large-scale projects from rough-in through final installation, reading plans and specs, installing piping and fixtures, and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License – required.
• 2+ years of commercial plumbing experience, preferably in new construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, tools, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
• Leadership or apprentice-mentoring experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background checks.
• Ability to work safely on active construction sites and perform the physical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Work on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects from rough-in through final installation.
• Install new commercial and industrial plumbing systems on ground-up construction projects
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and project specifications
• Install piping, fixtures, equipment, and other plumbing components
• Inspect completed installations and troubleshoot issues
• Ensure work meets applicable plumbing codes, project specifications, and ETR quality standards
• Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Mentor and assist apprentices as needed

What You'll Do
