Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools.
• Cut and thread pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine.
• Assemble and install valves, pipefittings, and pipes made of metals or nonmetals.
• Join pipe using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
• Read pressure gauges to determine leaks; install and repair plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, tubs, water heaters, disposers, dishwashers, water softeners).
