Walmart is seeking a skilled Plumber/Facilities Maintenance Technician in Shreveport, LA to perform preventative and corrective plumbing work on Walmart facilities. You will interpret blueprints, use repair manuals, and coordinate with contractors for safe, compliant operations.

Position Summary...

What you'll do

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems and related facility equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and document facility conditions, identifying repair and replacement needs to prevent future issues.
• Utilize blueprints, repair manuals, and tools to dismantle, repair, and reassemble plumbing components and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate with contractors to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and parts procurement while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory standards, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in plumbing and facility maintenance, including preventive and corrective repairs.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs for accurate diagnostics.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, hoists, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and workplace safety.
• Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and expense tracking.
• Capability to respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with management and contractors.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00*

• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state‑issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• 2 years' experience in the plumbing trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Plumber or equivalent in good standing in the state of work.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program, Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
