Job summary

Cranney Home Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our residential plumbing team in Massachusetts. You will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, perform gas piping for heating equipment, and provide exceptional customer service on every call.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License required.
• 5+ years of plumbing experience required.
• 2+ years of experience independently running service calls.
• Experience with gas piping and venting for heating equipment required.
• Comfort with tablets and digital service tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems per codes.
• Perform gas piping and venting for heating equipment on projects.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing systems and components.
• Represent Cranney Home Services during customer interactions.
• Provide clear explanations and recommendations to homeowners.
• Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and water heaters.
• Test systems for leaks and proper operation.
• Work safely, efficiently, and maintain quality craftsmanship.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels.
• Work independently and with the team as needed.

What You'll Do

• Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems according to company standards and local plumbing codes
• Perform gas piping and venting for heating equipment on plumbing projects
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing systems, including gas, boilers, and related components
• Serve as a trusted representative of Cranney Home Services during customer interactions
• Provide clear explanations and recommendations to homeowners while delivering exceptional service
• Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment
• Test plumbing systems to identify leaks and ensure proper operation
• Complete work safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality craftsmanship
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock levels
• Work independently while collaborating with team members when needed

• Consistently exceed weekly and monthly business goals
• Maintain a 75%+ conversion rate
• Achieve 25% sold-hour efficiency
• Maintain accurate stock lists and inventory
• Deliver exceptional workmanship with a strong focus on customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License required
• 5+ years of plumbing experience required
• 2+ years of experience independently running service calls
• Experience performing gas piping and venting for heating equipment required
• Strong knowledge of advanced plumbing systems, gas, boilers, and troubleshooting
• Ability to understand plumbing layouts, system design, and how components connect and operate
• Comfortable using technology, including tablets and digital service tools
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre-employment drug screen
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred

Requirements

• Massachusetts Journeymen Plumber License (Required).

• Extension Plumbing and gas knowledge.
• Boiling knowledge- able to troubleshoot.
