Job Title: Journeyman Plumber – Alaska

Location: Alaska (Various) / Rotational Work (North Slope)

Reports to: Project Manager

Requirements: Must have Alaska Journeyman FIT Card
Salary Range: $55 - $60 Hourly

We are looking for individuals who are knowledgeable in all areas of installation and repair. The applicant will need to be able to diagnose and repair complex systems with minimal supervision. They also need to be able to properly communicate technical information to customers in a friendly and helpful manner. A valid driver's license and prior experience in the field are required for consideration.


What You Will Need (minimum qualifications):

  • Possess a current and valid certification as an Alaska Journeyman Plumber. (REQUIRED)
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • 10+ years of experience and training in plumbing and mechanical systems, construction, operations, and/or maintenance. Familiarity with Building Automation Systems is not required but is preferable.
  • Prior demonstrated North Slope Experience.
  • Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.
  • Possesses the necessary license or identification card to meet all local, state, and government regulations.
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
  • Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment.
  • Uses and cares for tools and equipment.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, remodels, or constructs industrial plumbing systems, various piping systems, hydronic heating systems, various air handling systems, oil burning furnaces, envirovac toilet units, fire pumps, other various pumps, and plumbing equipment and systems used in wastewater and water treatment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Complies with all safety and the applicable safety handbook, leads, and educates fellow employees in the safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors.
