Job summary

Cooper Oates Air Conditioning, Inc. is seeking a skilled plumber with a minimum of five years of experience for commercial plumbing installations in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will perform installations in various settings such as commercial offices and medical facilities. • Strong plumbing/piping installation background.

• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and resolve conflict.

• Be thoroughly familiar with plans and specifications; bring conflicts to the attention of Lead Journeyman.
• Develop, support, and explain project goals and objectives.
• Make material lists and submit to Lead Journeyman.
• Maintain Company’s plumbing/piping quality standards.
• Ensure that Company’s equipment is operated safely and properly maintained.

Perform all aspects of commercial plumbing installation including rough‑in work and top‑out on ground‑up and TI projects. Experienced with all facets of commercial/industrial plumbing and hydronic piping systems. Able to perform installations in a wide variety of settings including commercial offices, hotels, multi‑use dwellings, process and medical installations.

Essential Duties (not all inclusive)

• Installation of plumbing and/or piping systems on new constructions and TIs
• Be thoroughly familiar with plans and specifications; bring conflicts to the attention of Lead Journeyman
• Develop, support, and explain project goals and objectives
• Make material lists and submit to Lead Journeyman
• Maintain Company’s plumbing/piping quality standards
• Ensure that Company’s equipment is operated safely and properly maintained

Experience Required

• Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a plumber or pipe fitter
• Strong plumbing/piping installation background
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Ability to work out of town
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and resolve conflict

Preferred

• Possession of current Med‑gas certification is considered an asset
• Hydronic piping experience
• Experience being the lead journeyman in a variety of construction settings
• Current safety certifications
