Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

We’re looking for a highly skilled and dependable Commercial Plumber to join our construction team. This position covers all phases of plumbing—including underground, rough‑in, and trim installations—on commercial buildings and facilities. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, code‑savvy, safety‑conscious, and physically capable of handling demanding field conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and assemble medical gas and vacuum piping systems using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or welded joints
  • Test systems for leaks, pressure, purity, and compliance prior to commissioning
  • Maintain and repair oxygen, medical air, vacuum, nitrous oxide, compressors, regulators, and outlets
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation sequence
  • Mount pipe hangers and supports on walls and ceilings
  • Identify structural obstructions and coordinate routing solutions
  • Perform required inspections (daily, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual as applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 99, ASSE standards, and federal, state, and local plumbing codes
  • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in proper working condition
  • Keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe
  • Support project teams to meet schedule, quality, and safety expectations
Required Qualifications
  • Commercial plumbing experience (required)
  • Active plumbing license valid in the state of employment
  • Strong working knowledge of medical gas and vacuum systems
  • Proficiency in brazing, testing, troubleshooting, and system repairs
  • Experience cutting, threading, bending, and fitting pipe using hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of NFPA 99, ASSE 6010, ADA requirements, and applicable plumbing codes
  • OSHA 10 Certification (required)
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Must pass criminal background check and random drug screenings
  • Valid driver’s license; good driving record preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, teammates, and clients
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Hospitals, clinics, ambulatory centers, and healthcare construction sites
  • Indoor and outdoor environments, including dusty, noisy, or hazardous conditions
  • Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and tight locations
  • Ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and work in all weather conditions
