What You’ll Do:
- Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems—including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters—ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Inspection and Diagnosis: Perform thorough inspections to diagnose plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems such as leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions efficiently and effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams and contractors to ensure smooth integration of plumbing systems in new builds or renovations.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local plumbing codes and safety regulations, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with clients, providing clear estimates and explaining proposed solutions in a professional manner.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent plumbing issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize disruptions.
- Tools and Equipment: Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment to perform tasks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards for quality and craftsmanship.
What You’ll Bring:
- Licensed Plumber: Hold a valid plumbing license in the state of Indiana (3rd year Journeyman preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience with a strong focus on residential projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Knowledge of various plumbing systems and materials.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain technical details clearly to clients and teammates.
- Physical Ability: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to think on your feet in challenging situations.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople and professionals on construction sites.
