Job Description

The role involves installation, modification, and repair of utility, supply, and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment such as sewage, water, gas, and oil lines, compressed air, vacuum, and acid systems, water closets, water heaters, hydrants, valves, and pumps.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in HVAC/Mechanical in a commercial setting
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems
• At least 4 years of experience in a commercial plumbing environment
• Completion of an apprenticeship program
• Hold a valid State license (or be qualified to sit for the exam in Texas immediately)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and punctuality
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out plumbing systems for underground rough-in and top-out phases
• Understanding of plumbing codes across different jurisdictions
• Install DWV (Drain, Waste, and Vent) systems, domestic water piping (hot & cold), and acid waste during new construction or remodels
• Install natural gas and medical gas systems (vacuum, O2, Medical Air, nitrogen)
• Set plumbing fixtures for commercial buildings and hospitals
• Solder & Brazing of copper tubing, threading steel pipes, and using ProPress is recommended
• Industrial experience is a plus
• Test pipes or fixtures with water or air to detect leaks
• Cut openings in structures for pipes using hand and power tools
• Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems
