Qualifications

• Journeylevel maintenance Pipefitter/Welder experience in industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation.
• Knowledge of TIG, MIG, and ARC welding.
• Experience using heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete maintenance and projects efficiently while minimizing downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics and technical docs for installations, upgrades and rebuilds.
• Fabricate, install, repair and maintain industrial piping systems (process piping, steam, hot water, refrigeration, compressed air, HVAC piping).
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems in the manufacturing facility.
• Install, maintain and diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems (pumps, cylinders, controls).
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment for precision repairs and custom fabrication.
• Use cranes, hoists, lift trucks, rigging for installations and maintenance safely.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, contractors and operations to improve equipment performance.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following EH&S procedures and supporting a strong safety culture.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journey‑level experience as a maintenance Pipefitter/Welder in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions.
• Knowledge and experience with various welding processes, such as TIG, MIG, and ARC.
• Experience using heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in the pulp and paper manufacturing environment.
• Four years or more of industrial maintenance experience.
• Combination of pipefitter/welder industrial or manufacturing experience with completion of a trade school certificate and/or degree.
