Job summary

Maddox Industrial Group is hiring a Journeyman Pipefitter in Indianapolis, IN to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and pipe supports for liquids and gases. Responsibilities include equipment layout, blueprints interpretation, and various site duties to support project requirements.

The role requires a High School diploma with 8+ years of pipefitter experience, the ability to read blueprints, and OSHA 10 within 5 years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 8+ years of pipefitter experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• OSHA 10 (within 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications
• Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
• Select pipe sizes, types, or related materials, such as supports, hangers, or hydraulic cylinders according to specification
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps tool, or welding equipment
• Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment according to specifications
• Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment following blueprints
• Other duties as assigned
• Working mechanical knowledge and ability to read P&IDs
• Heavy physical effort required for frequent lifting or moving of heavy materials
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and walk a project site
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
• Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions on jobsites
• Must be able to travel
