Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman pipefitter with 3+ years of field experience to lay out, fabricate, install, and maintain piping systems across steam, hot water, and process facilities in Virginia. You will read plans, select materials, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with the team on site.

Responsibilities include cutting, threading, bending, assembling pipe systems, and testing for leaks.

Qualifications

• Must have industrial pipefitter experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and document work.
• Works under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specs.
• Inspects worksite to determine obstructions.
• Plans installation sequence to avoid conflicts with others.
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe using appropriate tools.
• Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls/ceilings.
• Assembles and installs pipes with joints using various methods.
• Tests piping systems for leaks and verifies gauges.
• Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of tools.
• Observes safety and project rules; assists as needed.
