Job summary

N/ A Pipefitter position involves layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of piping/plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment for steam, water, sprinkler, heating and cooling systems. The role requires journeyman-level skills and the ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.

Candidate must read blueprints, measure, cut, thread, bend and install piping using hand and power tools, and perform incidental tasks to complete larger projects. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of 4 years of combined experience and training in pipefitting, or completion of an Apprenticeship as Pipefitter, or 8 years of documented Pipefitter experience, or 5 years with 3 in related trade.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience with measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing piping and fittings.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of piping/plumbing systems and equipment.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints to plan sequencing and materials.
• Work with metal, vitreous and plastic piping per job specs.
• Operate hand and power tools for cutting, bending, threading and mounting.
