Qualifications

• Journeyman-level pipe fitting experience.
• Ability to perform piping takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Experience reading isometric drawings, piping schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency with fit verification tools and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman-level pipe fitting work in a fabrication shop environment.
• Perform piping takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Lay out, fit, assemble, and prepare piping systems for fabrication and welding.
• Work from current Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, piping schematics, and construction blueprints.
• Measure, cut, bevel, thread, and fit carbon steel, stainless steel, hydronic, mechanical, and process piping systems.
• Verify fit tolerances and use tooling required to confirm proper fit-up.
• Utilize alignment tools including Hi-Lo gauges, bridge cams, and two-hole pins.
• Read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all safety standards.
