Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is seeking a Painter Blaster to join our team in St James, LA. You will prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting and apply coatings to equipment, parts, machinery and buildings using spray guns, brushes and rollers.

The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman level experience, ability to work at heights, and the ability to mix coatings per specifications. It is an on-site, full-time position; TWIC Card is requested, and legal US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years journeyman level experience.
• Must be able to prepare surfaces and apply paint with spray gun, brush or roller.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; on-site, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders and follows verbal instructions.
• Prepares surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease and old paint; fills holes.
• Selects and mixes coating liquids to achieve color per spec.
• Erects scaffolding or uses ladders for elevated tasks.
• Applies paint to surfaces using spray gun, brush, or roller.
• Other duties as assigned.
