Summary of Job Duties:
The Journeyman Painter prepares and paints the interior and exterior of buildings: putting up sheet rock, patching walls, primer and paint walls/doors/trim, etc.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least five years of experience as a painter

Required license(s)/certification(s):

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six years experience as a Journeyman Painter


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, and safety precautions in one or more of the skilled trades

  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to one or more of the skilled trades

  • Skill in the use and care of tools and machinery used in one or more of the skilled trades

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and/or work drawings
