A leading utility provider is seeking Journeyman or Apprentice Linemen to perform construction and maintenance of transmission lines and substations. Candidates should hold an Associate's degree in a relevant field and be able to work under varying conditions. Central Electric Power Cooperative is currently accepting applications for the position of Journeyman or Apprentice Lineman. Individuals interested in this position should have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Industrial Electricity, Electrical Distribution Systems or Electronics with experience in power systems or electrical operations. Individuals must be able to work at heights. This position will require work in inclement weather conditions. This position will require the individual to conduct a full range of transmission line and substation construction and maintenance. Individual will be required to reside within 30 minutes of reporting location in order to respond to outage calls. Must be able to obtain and maintain a class A commercial driver’s license. Individual must be able to pass a DOT drug and alcohol test. Central provides a 401K savings investment plan, voluntary 125 cafeteria plan, life insurance and medical plan including vision and dental. Central also offers 10 holidays a year, vacation and sick leave benefits. Hourly wage range is $36.08 - $51.54. Interested individuals should submit a resume by July 1, 2025.
