Job summary

Precision Drilling Canada, LP is seeking a registered Journeyman Millwright to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair top drive systems. This on-site role collaborates with the Foreman and Top Drives Manager to ensure safe, reliable operation across field locations.

You will read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, manage parts, and provide technical support while upholding safety standards and core values.

Qualifications

• Registered Red Seal Journeyman Millwright with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent
• 4+ years of industrial mechanical experience; oil and gas industry experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with exceptional troubleshooting abilities
• Commitment to safety including knowledge of OHS regulations, WHMIS, and PPE practices
• Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and ability to mentor apprentices

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Top Drive systems, including capital repairs, overhauls, new builds, and certifications
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose issues and complete repairs
• Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment testing, alignment, and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
• Manage spare parts inventory, investigate equipment failures, and maintain standard inspection and repair procedures
• Provide technical support to field personnel, collaborate with operations and vendors, and travel to field locations as required while upholding safety standards

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 4+ years of industrial mechanical experience; oil and gas industry experience is an asset
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong commitment to safety, including knowledge of OHS regulations, WHMIS, and proper PPE practices
• Self‑motivated team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, mentor apprentices, and safely work with heavy equipment
