Job Description:

The responsibilities include maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and facilities with quality workmanship, as well as managing machine parts according to production specifications. This involves pipefitting, overhauling various types of equipment, and inspecting or testing damaged parts. Additionally, the role requires reading work orders, documenting maintenance information, and comprehending equipment schematics and blueprints. Training apprentices, supervising contractors, and performing other necessary duties are also part of the job.

Responsibilities/ The Impact You Will Make in this Role:

  • Maintain, repair, and install equipment and facilities through quality workmanship.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
  • Pipefitting installation and repair of pipe systems through welding, threading, and proper hanging.
  • Complete overhauls of various types of equipment, such as reactor drives, gear boxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pallet trucks, conveyors, air and nitrogen compressors, refrigeration systems, and boilers.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Record and document repair and machine maintenance information.
  • Work with and comprehend equipment schematics, blueprints, and comprehensive diagrams that relate to new installations as well as existing systems.
  • Work with lathes and other shop equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Assist in training maintenance apprentices.
  • Monitor activities of other people working including contractors.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by operating business needs.

Your Skills and Expertise:

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
  • Completion of Federally Certified Journeymen (8,000 hours) formal industrial manufacturing skilled craft training program or equivalent, or a college degree from a technical school in the mechanical field.
  • Willingness to be on-call and must be able to work rotating 12-hour schedule.

  • Manage projects and time to meet deadlines.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $42.99/hour. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
