Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Installation Lead for large solar projects in the Northeast. This full-time, on-site role oversees field crews and directs the installation of commercial PV systems and EV charging infrastructure, with travel across New York and neighboring states.

The ideal candidate has extensive commercial electrical experience, strong sitework knowledge, and a proven ability to lead projects from site preparation through installation and completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews performing commercial electrical, solar PV, EVSE, and related site installation work.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and schedules.
• Perform and oversee all phases of commercial electrical sitework, including trenching, excavation, equipment pad preparation, electrical vault installation, transformer pads, and oil catchment basins.
• Coordinate the installation and commissioning of commercial solar PV systems and EV charging infrastructure.
• Safely operate and maintain site equipment, including excavators, skid steers, telehandlers/lulls, and other construction equipment.
• Ensure proper installation quality, adherence to electrical and construction standards, and compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Provide hands‑on technical guidance, training, and leadership to crew members.
• Identify and resolve field challenges while maintaining productivity, quality, and project schedules.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all job sites.
