Job summary

BoMac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to perform skilled carpentry on marine and civil projects such as wharves, bridges, seawalls, and concrete formwork.

Work from technical drawings to build, install, and repair timber and concrete structures in coastal or tidal zones. Candidates should have strong safety awareness, be able to read plans, and collaborate with supervisors and trades to meet quality and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years journeyman carpenter experience.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair timber and concrete structures per drawings.
• Build, install, and repair formwork for fixtures and structures.
• Read construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure requirements are met.
• Construct and strip forms for poured-in-place concrete using lumber and plywood.
• Perform carpentry in coastal, over-water, tidal, and confined spaces with safety compliance.
• Use hand and power tools and maintain equipment.
• Follow safety procedures including fall protection and PPE.
• Coordinate daily activities with supervisors, laborers and trades to meet goals.
• Evaluate completed work for accuracy and conformance to specs.
