Job summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will cover the press line, work on improving systems, document processes, support multiple work centers, and perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Able to read electrical, hydraulic and wiring prints.
• Prioritize workload with multiple work centers.
• May rotate shifts and work overtime with little notice.
• Strong oral and written communication; good interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid tow motor license.

Responsibilities

• Cover the press line for hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Work on and improve building, production and maintenance systems.
• Complete documentation and logbooks.
• Support and assist all work centers.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in setting molds and dies when necessary.
• Maintain machinery, equipment and plant structures in operating condition.
• Install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, and controls for hydraulic and steam/air lines.
• Handle die changes and project work on second/third shifts if assigned.
• Oversee preventive lubrication of machinery and plant components.
• Assist in plant shut down and startup according to procedures.
• Cover vacations and illness on shift; available for overtime on short notice.
• Support continuous improvement, corrective actions and product quality.

Essential Job Functions

• Cover the press line for all hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Work on and make permanent improvements to all building, production and maintenance systems.
• Complete appropriate documentation and logbooks.
• Support and assist all work centers.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all building, production and maintenance equipment.
• Assist in setting molds and dies when necessary.
• Keep machinery, equipment and plant structure in operating condition.
• Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, traps and all types of controls for high- and low-pressure hydraulic systems and steam and air lines.
• If assigned second or third shift, complete die changes and project work.
• Preventative maintenance, lubrication of various machinery.
• Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist in shut down and start-up of the plant according to procedures.
• Cover for vacations and illness on the shift and be able to work overtime on short notice.
• Has responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective actions and quality of products.
