Purpose:

Repair, maintain, and assemble general maintenance equipment related to patient care and facility operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete work orders related to general maintenance in a timely manner.
2. Complete preventive maintenance related to general maintenance.
3. Maintain documentation on work and preventive maintenance orders.
4. Repair and document all wheeled equipment.
5. Operate boiler house equipment and repair as needed.
6. Maintain ground-keeping equipment and assist in groundskeeping duties.
7. Operate heavy equipment and assist in rigging and moving of equipment.
8. Hang facility signs, bulletin boards, and decorative items.
9. Check and maintain automatic doors.
10. Respond to facility alarms and trouble codes promptly.
11. Perform building trades tasks that do not require journeyman skills.
12. Estimate time and materials for assigned jobs.
13. Maintain materials for daily and project activities.
14. Investigate technical information and pricing for purchase orders.
15. Coordinate with outside contractors for assigned tasks.
16. Adhere to all ICRA requirements for patient, visitor, and employee safety.
17. Assist in regulatory surveys and corrections.
18. Support shift coverage to ensure daily facilities operations.
