Job summary

Fruit Growers Supply LLC in Ontario, CA is seeking a Maintenance Journeyman to diagnose, adjust, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment at the Carton Plant. You will respond to machine breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and support plant operations.

The role requires 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience and familiarity with corrugated equipment such as the BHS Corrugator, MHI Evol Flexo Folder Gluer, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with listed machinery: BHS Corrugator, MHI Evol Flexo Folder Gluer, GOPFERT Rotary Die Cutter, DUCKER Automation & Robotics, EAM Mosca Strappers & Bundlers, LACHENMEIR HOODER.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Task Hazard Assessment for non-routine tasks.
• Respond to emergency machine breakdowns promptly.
• Complete assigned tasks correctly within the time allotted.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drives, PLCs, electrical systems, piping, and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Assist with PLC troubleshooting using laptop-based tools.
• Assist with plant layouts and wiring installations.
• Maintain parts stores inventory system.
• Perform site cleanup before and after repairs.
• General housekeeping and other duties as assigned by supervision.

Maintenance Journeyman is to Diagnose, adjust, repair hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment used at the Carton Plant.

Essential Job functions/ Duties:

• Complete a “Maintenance Task Hazard Assessment” for each non-routine task.
• Respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Completes assigned tasks correctly and within the allotted time.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance duties on facility equipment
• Common Troubleshooting and repair of AC / DC drives, PLC’s, electrical systems, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment.
• Locate, diagnose and repair malfunctions of Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Water & Starch piping systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Perform various inspections and testing on plant systems, machinery and equipment.
• Assist with operation of laptop computers for required troubleshooting of PLC controlled systems.
• Assist with plant layouts and wiring installations.
• Perform necessary procedures to maintain parts stores inventory system.
• Perform cleanup of job site prior to and after completing repairs.

Perform general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned by supervision

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience:

• 3-5 years of Maintenance experience in an industrial maintenance related field.
• Corrugated Industry preferred.
