Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is hiring Journey-level Lineworkers to maintain electric power systems across California's North Coast and Bay Area. Qualifications

• Must possess a valid California Class A driving permit by the first day of employment.
• Capable of working extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel and transfer to a new headquarters upon request.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain electric power systems and restore electric service.
• Conduct visual inspections of electric poles and enclosures.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and attend mandated OSHA training.

Skills

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds

Strong communication skills

Ability to work and drive in all types of weather

Experience in rubber gloving and hot stick procedures

Education

High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

Completion of a federal or state sanctioned lineworker apprenticeship
