Job summary

PG&E is hiring qualified Journey-level Lineworkers to work throughout California’s North Coast and Bay Area, with responsibilities including building and maintaining electric power systems.

This position requires completion of a federal or state-sanctioned apprenticeship and offers an hourly rate of $73.78. Applicants must be able to lift heavy materials and work in all weather conditions. This role is essential for ensuring reliable electric service to residential, industrial, and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid California Class A driving permit by the first day of employment.
• Capable of working extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Travels to various job locations within the geographical assigned region.
• Tests, frames, sets and/or anchors poles; installs electric power lines.
• Conducts visual inspections of electric poles and enclosures.
• Restores electric service to customers and maintains electric power systems.

Skills

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds

Ability to work in various weather

Effective team player

Experience with rubber gloving

Education

Completion of Lineworker apprenticeship

2 years of Journey Lineworker experience
