Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking Journeyman Lineman candidates to install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems, both overhead and underground, using line trucks and bucket lifts. The job includes live/dead line work, training, and potential pay increases upon rubber gloving qualification.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, Journeyman experience/certification or UWUA 127 testing, and completion of an apprenticeship program, plus a Class A CDL or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Lineman experience and/or UWUA 127 certification/testing.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
• Must meet examining board review of skills.
• Must have rubber gloving training or be willing to obtain.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution lines overhead and underground.
• Operate line trucks, bucket lifts and associated equipment to construct or repair lines.
• Train and direct trainees or apprentices when needed.
• Perform switching, grounding and work on de-energized lines safely.
