Job summary

Bountiful City is seeking a certified journey man lineman to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power systems in Utah. Candidates must meet licensure and certification requirements and be capable of handling energized work with safety protocols.

The role involves supervising crews, training apprentices, and responding to emergencies. Strong knowledge of electrical theory and blueprints is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully pass a background check, a driving record check, and a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, maintains, and repairs poles, cross arms, insulators, and outdoor substation equipment on overhead and underground lines.
• Performs maintenance and operation of distribution systems and transformers.
• Supervises and directs small line crews as needed.
• Instructs and trains Apprentices in overhead and underground work.
• Responds to power line emergencies and outages.
