Cleveland Utilities Authority, a municipal utility providing electric, water, wastewater, and fiber services to the Cleveland, Tennessee/Bradley County area, is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to construct and maintain our electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform all maintenance, construction, and repair of electrical distribution and transmission systems, both overhead and underground, in an accepted manner concurrent with industry and Cleveland Utilities’ standards.
Carry out the performance of the job utilizing all required safety procedures and equipment.
Perform energized and de-energized line work utilizing ladders, climbing tools, and/or aerial lift trucks.
Train and instruct apprentice linemen in duties they are to perform.
Ensure tools and equipment are in safe working condition and well maintained.
Ability to perform call duty after designated training period and must live within 15 miles of the main campus or 30-minute commute via Google Maps.
Perform other duties as assigned by Working Line Foreman/Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Experience as a Journeyman Lineman preferred.
Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program with copies of completion certificates.
Physical ability to climb and do heavy manual work.
