Job summary

INEOS USA OIL & GAS LLC in Texas is seeking a dedicated EDS Lineman to maintain and repair a 25 kV overhead and underground power distribution system serving onshore oil and gas operations. The role involves leading crews, coordinating outages, and ensuring safety to meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing lines, operating bucket trucks and derricks, inspecting equipment, and responding to emergencies with prompt, safe repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Valid Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Physical ability to perform duties at heights and in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution lines.
• Knowledge of equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related machinery.
• Assist in supervision of construction/maintenance crews for 25 kV systems.
• Coordinate outage repairs and safe re-energizing.
• Regular inspections and maintenance of power lines and equipment for safety and performance.
• Identify, repair, or replace defective equipment and address unsafe conditions.
• Work with engineers to develop designs and material lists.
• Respond to emergency outages and perform repairs promptly and safely.
• Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and time tracking.
• Fill in for Lead Lineman when unavailable and be on call after hours/weekends.
