Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries is seeking a Network and Computer Systems Administrator to maintain secure, efficient IT operations within DoD-aligned environments. You will perform system administration, cybersecurity enforcement, and network audits while supporting users and coordinating with USAF/ESD teams.

The role requires 3–7 years of government IT experience, Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification, and the ability to work in a secure setting with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience supporting government computer systems or providing IT customer service.
• Security+ certification or an equivalent DoD 8140-approved certification.
• Ability to work independently in a secure environment and maintain an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the AF-specified helpdesk tool, monitor the tool for assigned tickets, and update the tool with status and resolution information.
• Respond to non-Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) tickets, and refer ESD tickets to the appropriate group
• Identify and implement solutions to non-core issues reported by unit end users
• Create helpdesk tickets when exercising tasks that require Air Force Network (AFNet) Federated Administrative rights
• Validate, coordinate, route, and process access requests for computer, application, AFNet, DAF365, and SharePoint resources, and monitor the change requests through closure
• Coordinate with the USAF Enterprise Service Desk (ESD), Base Communications Focal Point (CFP) and/or other authorized entities as needed

Network and Computer Systems Administrators play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation, cybersecurity compliance, and safeguarding of the organization's computer systems and network resources. This multifaceted role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including network audits, system administration, and cybersecurity enforcement.

Key responsibilities encompass various facets of IT management, including computer maintenance, system administration, implementation of security protocols, management of network resources, user support, monitoring of computer health and status using local, USAF, and DoD tools, implementation of remediation actions, documentation, collaboration with IT teams, and capacity planning.

By maintaining a resilient and secure IT environment, Network and Computer Systems Administrators fulfill the organization's technological requirements and contribute significantly to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Systems Supported

• Utilize the AF-specified helpdesk tool, monitor the tool for assigned tickets, and update the tool with status and resolution information.
• Respond to non-Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) tickets, and refer ESD tickets to the appropriate group
• Identify and implement solutions to non-core issues reported by unit end users
• Create helpdesk tickets when exercising tasks that require Air Force Network (AFNet) Federated Administrative rights
• Validate, coordinate, route, and process access requests for computer, application, AFNet, DAF365, and SharePoint resources, and monitor the change requests through closure
• Coordinate with the USAF Enterprise Service Desk (ESD), Base Communications Focal Point (CFP) and/or other authorized entities as needed
• Prevent loss of information during operational and maintenance activities by utilizing processes to protect and, when required, restore information
• Manage Global Address Listing Distribution groups (email), Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint group memberships, adding users to those groups; facilitating initial end-user computer logon, setup, and providing training on the use of equipment; ensuring OneDrive is set to synchronize; and installing authorized and licensed software
• Support IT-related tasks for end-user in-processing and out-processing
• Monitor and implement AFNetOps orders and directives.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies and vulnerabilities via identified Wing Cybersecurity Office (WCO).

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Three to seven years of experience supporting government computer systems or providing IT customer service.
• Security+ certification or an equivalent DoD 8140-approved certification.
• Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a secure environment and maintain an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using government IT asset management or inventory systems.
• Experience directly supporting government customers or federal programs.
• Experience with account and permissions management in a government or enterprise IT environment.
• Experience with tools such as: Active Directory, DRA, ESD and ARAD.
