Position: Instrument/Electrical Technician at Goodyear

We are immediately hiring for a skilled Instrument/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plant equipment in our Chemical manufacturing division. We offer competitive starting pay of $38.29/hour, 1st shift (7 am - 3:30 pm), with abundant overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Routine inspection, maintenance, and calibration of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
• Troubleshooting electrical controls and instrumentation
• Working safely on 3-phase systems up to 15kV
• Using test instruments like multimeters and calibrators
• Interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams
• Adhering to safety standards including LOTO, fall protection, and PPE
• Performing manual tasks in varying temperatures, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights or in confined spaces

Basic qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED, at least 18 years old
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete pre-employment requirements
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Basic computer skills
• 2+ years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance or AAS in Instrument/Electrical

Preferred qualifications:

• AAS in Electrical or Instrument Technology
• Completion of electrical or instrument training or apprenticeship
• Chemical plant experience
• Current electrician's license
• Military technical experience
