Job summary

Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa in Moab, UT is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Mechanic to maintain luxury hospitality systems across HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical equipment on a remote ranch.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of diversified HVAC experience, hands-on expertise, strong electrical troubleshooting, NEC knowledge, and a commitment to safety, quality, and independent problem solving.

Qualifications

Required: 15+ years of diversified HVAC experience preferred.
Journeyman-level HVAC knowledge and experience.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code).
Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Experience with heat pumps, refrigeration, ice machines, mini-splits, cooking equipment, and lift stations.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a remote environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Highly organized and exceptionally neat—this is a must.
Pride in workmanship and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems across a luxury ranch property.
Diagnose problems and implement effective, safe repairs in a remote environment.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks to ensure guest comfort and system reliability.
Work independently, stay organized, and take ownership of tasks and outcomes.
