Job summary

Advanced Heating & Cooling of Idaho is seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker to fabricate, install, and repair ductwork for commercial and industrial projects. You will read blueprints, measure and assemble, and ensure energy-efficient air systems with a strong emphasis on safety and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in HVAC sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and black iron duct work.
• Knowledge of SMACNA standards, local codes, and energy efficiency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install HVAC ductwork, fittings, plenums, diffusers, grilles, and other sheet metal components per plans.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and shop drawings to determine layout and dimensions.
• Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal with hand and power tools.
• Assemble and seal duct systems using fasteners, welding, brazing, or adhesives for airflow efficiency.
• Install hangers, supports, and reinforcements for ductwork systems.
• Coordinate installation sequences with HVAC technicians and other trades.
• Perform modifications and repairs to existing duct systems as needed.
• Inspect completed work for quality, code compliance, and airflow performance.
