Job summary

Maxair Mechanical, LLC is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician to service equipment at customer sites within the greater Atlanta area. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, collaborating with dispatchers and project managers, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

You will perform routine and emergency service visits, handle parts and paperwork, and train apprentices as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years minimum as a Commercial HVAC technician.
• EPA Certification for refrigerant handling (Universal) preferred.
• Local Union 72 membership or ability to join the union preferred.
• Associates degree or industry certifications valued.
• OSHA 30 certification valued.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform preventive maintenance visits on HVAC equipment (split systems, rooftops, etc.).
• Safely perform emergency service visits.
• Purchase materials from supply house and submit receipts.
• Complete electronic paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate with dispatcher and team leaders about assignments and issues.
• Maintain equipment and inventory in the truck for efficiency.
• Work overtime and occasional overnight stays as needed.
• Assist and train HVAC helpers/apprentices.
