As a Journeyman HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing and servicing HVAC systems and products according to manufacturer specifications, while ensuring that all work is performed professionally, timely, and accurately in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Work safely when performing installations or servicing of HVAC equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures for the type of installation and service being performed.
• Follow directions provided by the Lead Installer or Service Technician related to the scope of work.
• Ensure that all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications.
• Have knowledge of HVAC theory and electrical theory related to HVAC systems.
• Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for the scope of work.
• Perform installation of household appliances as needed.
• Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job and maintain stock levels on the truck.
• Maintain the company’s vehicle and notify management when maintenance is required.
• Assist and train associates as directed by management.
• Complete all required paperwork prior to the end of the shift.
• Perform readings on test instruments and understand the importance of these readings.
• Follow all applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ensure the dispatcher or supervisor is aware of job status and any delays that may occur.
• Maintain all company tools in good working order and ensure all tools are safe to use.
• Perform work professionally, treat customers with respect, and report any issues or problems to the manager immediately.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Journeyman license.
• Completion of a trade program in an applicable field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC installation, service, and related tools and test instruments.
• At least two (2) years of experience in HVAC installation and three (3) years in HVAC service are preferred.
