Job summary

Ditch Witch West is seeking a Journeyman Field Technician to service and repair heavy trenching and construction equipment in the Sacramento, CA area. Join a premier capital equipment dealer and grow your skills with robust training and strong support.

You will travel to customer sites in a fully equipped service vehicle, perform top‑notch work, and ensure equipment uptime. CDL preferred, 5+ years of field experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy trenching and construction equipment at customer sites.
• Travel within the Sacramento area in a fully equipped service vehicle.
• Ensure equipment runs at peak uptime and reliability.
• Provide excellent on-site service and customer support.
