Job summary

Private Construction Company is seeking a Journeyman Finish Carpenter based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA with travel across the Western U.S. This full-time seasonal role offers $30 to $40 per hour, with paid travel time, per diem, and mileage reimbursement.

You will install fixtures, millwork, and finish carpentry in grocery stores, big-box retailers, and retail malls. You will join a team known for high-quality workmanship and reliable problem solving in demanding commercial projects,

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of trim and finish carpentry experience with commercial fixture installation or retail build-outs.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and layouts for accurate placement.
• Experience installing fixtures, millwork, and finish carpentry in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial metal fixtures including gondola shelving, display units, wall standards, and structural supports.
• Perform finish carpentry including modular cabinets, countertops, wood base, trim, and wall paneling.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layout plans to ensure accurate placement and alignment.
• Hang sales floor display fixtures, artwork, signage supports, and decor elements.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet project timelines.

What You Will Do Each Day

• Install commercial metal fixtures including gondola shelving, display units, wall standards, and structural supports

• Perform finish carpentry including modular cabinets, countertops, wood base, trim, and wall paneling

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layout plans to ensure accurate placement and alignment

• Install FRP wainscot, restroom accessories, toilet partitions, and plywood backing for future fixture mounting

• Hang sales floor display fixtures, artwork, signage supports, and decor elements

• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet project timelines
