Job summary

Harris Health System, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.

The role supports Harris Health’s infrastructure across hospitals and clinics. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, pass a required skill assessment, and ideally hold a Journeyman license or equivalent, with a Texas driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must pass the skill assessment for Facilities Engineering level.
• Journeyman license or equivalent certification, or 1st Grade Stationary Engineering license.
• Texas Driver's License preferred.
• Four years of building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and other infrastructure systems.
• Maintains facilities across Harris Health campuses and supports capital projects as needed.
• Communicates with the Facilities Engineering Department and coordinates with other trades.
